As a player

Toronto: junior hockey star for the Ontario Hockey Association's Marlboros from 1972-75.

Johnstown, Pa.: North American Hockey League standout in 1975-76, the season "Slap Shot" was filmed there.

St. Paul: Played 30 games for the Fighting Saints in the World Hockey Association in 1975-76.

Toronto (again): Boudreau frequently was called up to play for the Maple Leafs in the NHL from 1976-83 while playing for minor league teams.

Dallas: With the Central Hockey League's Black Hawks from 1976-78.

Moncton, New Brunswick: With the American Hockey League's Hawks from 1978-81.

Cincinnati: Another CHL team, the Tigers, in 1981-82.

St. Catharines, Ontario: Another AHL team, the Saints, from 1982-84.

Baltimore: A brief stint with the AHL's Skipjacks in 1984.

Iserlohn, Germany: Gave the Bundesliga a shot in 1984-85.

Cape Breton, Nova Scotia: With the AHL Oilers from 1985-87.

Chicago: Played seven games for the NHL's Blackhawks in 1985-86.

West Springfield, Mass.: Two seasons with the AHL's Indians (1987-89).

Newmarket, Ontario: Ended the 1988-89 season with the AHL's Saints.

Phoenix: With the International Hockey League's Roadrunners in 1989-90.

Fort Wayne, Ind.: Next stop in the "I" was with the Komets (1990-92).

Adirondack, N.Y.: Playing career ended in 1992 with the AHL's Baby Wings.

As a coach

Muskegon, Mich.: Starting head coaching career in the Colonial League (1992-93).

Fort Wayne: Returned to the IHL as head coach of the Komets (1993-95).

San Francisco: Assistant coach of the IHL's Spiders in 1995-96.

Biloxi, Miss.: Another new league, the East Coast, coaching the Mississippi Sea Wolves (1996-99).

Lowell, Mass: Back in the AHL, head coach of the Lock Monsters (1999-2001).

Manchester, N.H.: Four seasons (2001-05) as head coach of the AHL's Monarchs.

Hershey, Pa.: Another AHL coaching gig with the Bears (2005-07).

Washington, D.C.: Finally an NHL coaching job, the Capitals (2007-11).

Anaheim, Calif.: Head coach of the Ducks (2011-16).

St. Paul: Hired as Wild coach this summer.
