Lynx at a glance: After Minnesota's second loss in three games -- both to Connecticut -- coach Don Zierden said he plans no lineup changes. He said he likes rookies Candice Wiggins and Charde Houston coming off the bench for the Lynx (6-2). Forward Nicole Ohlde, who started in a 75-66 loss to the Sun on Tuesday and scored 10 points in 11 minutes, probably earned a few more minutes tonight. Reserve guard Navonda Moore also is coming off one of her best games; she had seven points and four rebounds. Vanessa Hayden-Johnson, a 6-4 center who did not play against the Sun, is expected to be needed tonight against Sacramento's more physical, less mobile post players.

Sacramento at a glance: The Monarchs (4-4) won 79-76 at Washington on Wednesday, then flew to Minnesota for a tough back-to-back. Sacramento beat New York 70-63 on Sunday behind guard Ticha Penicheiro's 18 points. This is the Portugal native's 11th season as a Monarch. Forwards Nicole Powell and Rebekkah Brunson are each averaging a team-high 12 points per game. The Monarchs score just under 70 points per game -- putting them 13th in a 14-team league. Sacramento had an 11-game winning streak in the series until Minnesota won 78-73 in their last meeting, July 29 at ARCO Arena.
