Rep. Frank Hornstein, DFL-Minneapolis, said the impact of Marty's withdrawal was not encouraging to those hoping it would lead to an early end to the balloting. "The Marty people sort of scattered (evenly to the remaining candidates), so it didn't have a decisive effect," said Hornstein, who wore a Kelliher t-shirt.
