MILWAUKEE — Two liberal groups are launching a campaign in Wisconsin and nine other states to promote President Barack Obama's health care overhaul and encourage people to enroll in health care exchanges.

The exchanges will allow people and small businesses to comparison shop online for health insurance starting next year.

Brad Woodhouse, of Americans United for Change, said in a Friday conference call that his group will work with advocacy group Protect Your Care to make Americans aware of the health care law's benefits and confront Republicans opposed to its implementation.

Organizers didn't provide specifics on the campaign, related events or their cost, but Woodhouse says details will be coming soon. He says events are expected to begin next week. They will focus on women, small businesses, young people and seniors.
