People often ask: What can one person do? "Now showing ... a sense of community" (July 10) is a very good answer. Kudos to St. Paul's Sage Holben for her warm, wonderful work bringing children of different races together and letting them enjoy each other, and for not submitting to fear of bullies and drug dealers. Kudos also go to reporter Bill Ward and the Star Tribune for covering her story. Common sense and patience are values that are becoming very rare, but Holben seems to have both wrapped up in her caring heart.WILMA PICCARD, MINNEAPOLIS
