My heart was filled with joy reading about the Maple Lake library (Gail Rosenblum column, March 28). I love the fact that this community pushed for something it wanted even when it seemed unlikely at the beginning. Our country is going through hard times with recession and war. On top of that, we've passed national health care, and we're spinning out of control trying to keep up with it all. These are the critical moments when we must know how to come together, even for small things like creating a local library. EMILY HOLDAHL, EDEN PRAIRIE
