Brad Davison threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Jack Dugan with 34.2 seconds left and Andy Peterson made the extra point to give host No. 9 Maple Grove a 28-27 victory over Prior Lake on Friday night.

The Crimson drove 64 yards on 10 plays over 1 minute, 36 seconds for the winning drive, which included a block-in-the-back penalty on the first play. Davison completed four of six passes on the drive, and he also ran twice for 15 yards. He finished the game with two rushing and two passing touchdowns.

The Lakers rallied to take their first lead with 2:14 left. Preston Jelen ran 43 yards for a touchdown on fourth-and-2.

Davison helped the Crimson take a 14-0 lead in the first quarter on a 5-yard run and 25-yard pass to Ky Carlson.

Minnetonka 28, Hopkins 27: The Skippers stopped a two-point conversion attempt with 63 seconds left to defeat the host Royals. Morgan Holmes threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Schebloom to get the Royals within one. The Royals decided to go for two, but Holmes was stopped on his run short of the end zone. Holmes led a Royals comeback attempt with a pair of touchdown passes, and Hopkins' Malik Lofton returned a punt 56 yards to tie the score at 21-21 at the end of the third quarter.

Blaine 31, Andover 28: The visiting Class 6A, No. 9 Bengals stopped the Huskies on fourth down in the final minutes to hold on for the victory. Andover drove 80 yards to the Blaine 11-yard line with the help of two pass interference penalties and a personal foul on a late hit, but a pass on fourth down fell incomplete. Byron Bynum Jr. ran for a touchdown and Brandon Olson kicked a field goal to give the Bengals an 11-point lead with 5:10 left. Michael Wandmaker had two rushing touchdowns and one receiving for Andover.

Eden Prairie 45, Shakopee 0: D.J. Johnson began the game with a long kickoff return for a touchdown and ended it with an even longer interception return for a score for the host and third-ranked Eagles. Johnson received the opening kick at his own 10-yard line and returned it 90 yards. In the third quarter, Johnson intercepted a pass in his own end zone and ran 104 yards for the final score of the game.

Eastview 21, Lakeville South 0: Mike Delich ran for 176 yards and two TDs to lead the Lightning past the host Cougars. Delich scored both touchdowns in the first quarter and had more than 100 rushing yards at halftime. Ross Cochran sealed the game on a 23-yard TD pass to Larry Wright with 1:56 left.

Lakeville North 42, Apple Valley 6: Wade Sullivan ran for four touchdowns to lead the visiting No. 2 Panthers past the Eagles. Reed Smith threw a TD pass to Trevor Schermann and Jack Branson ran in a score for Lakeville North.

South St. Paul 24, Henry Sibley 22: Ryan Duffy ran for 208 yards and three touchdowns to lead the host Class 4A, No. 1 Packers past the Warriors.
