Metro Transit officials say that full service on the south end of the Blue Line has been restored.

Part of the line was shut down after a northbound train collided with a car at American Blvd. around 11:30 a.m., said Metro Transit spokesman John Siqveland.

Northbound and southbound trains had been sharing a single track until the incident cleared about an hour later. Buses had been used to shuttle passengers between the Mall of America and Terminal 2 at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

No one on the train or in the vehicle was injured, Siqveland said.

Metro Transit police are investigating.
