Benilde uses 2-goal burst to overtake Eden Prairie

• BENILDE-ST. MARGARET'S 2, EDEN PRAIRIE 1: The Red Knights, ranked No. 8 in Class 2A, scored twice in the final four minutes to pull out a victory over the Eagles, No. 7 in Class 2A. The Red Knights' Nick Austin scored with 3:40 remaining to tie the score. Chase Jungels' goal with 30 seconds remaining broke the tie. Ryan Bischel had 33 saves for the Red Knights.


• LAKEVILLE SOUTH 5, SHAKOPEE 2: Janna Haeg had a goal and three assists for the Cougars, ranked No. 8 in Class 2A, in their South Suburban victory.


• CRETIN-DERHAM HALL 85, WHITE BEAR LAKE 50: The Raiders, ranked No. 2 in 4A, outscored the Bears 45-22 in the second half to pull away for the Suburban East victory. Joe Rosga scored 23 points and Sam Neumann scored 18 for the Raiders.

• ST. THOMAS ACADEMY 74, HASTINGS 61: Nate Chaffee scored 23 points to help the Cadets, ranked No. 7 in Class 3A, outlast the Raiders in a Metro East game.

• SIMLEY 74, NORTH ST. PAUL 39: The Spartans opened the second half with a 20-0 run to pull away for the Metro East victory. Sam Stensgard scored 18 points to lead the Spartans, who led 31-23 at halftime.

• EASTVIEW 71, EAGAN 58: Keegan Dickson scored 27 points — 20 in the second half — to lead the Lightning to the victory.

• MINNETONKA 82, EDINA 79: Justin Moes scored 17 points to help the Skippers, ranked No. 5 in Class 4A, rally for a Lake Conference victory. The Skippers trailed by two at halftime. Max Lynch and John Swanke each scored 16 for the Hornets.


• ST. PAUL CENTRAL 49, HILL-MURRAY 48: Kennedy Gay's three-point basket with 1.8 seconds remaining lifted Central to a victory over the Pioneers, ranked No. 3 in Class 3A.
