No. 17 Notre Dame 5, No. 18 Penn State 4 (OT): Mike O'Leary scored a power-play goal 1:37 into overtime as the host Irish beat the Nittany Lions. The win also moved Notre Dame ahead of the Gophers into second place in the conference race.

Wisconsin 5, Michigan 4 (OT): Sean Dhooghe scored with 27 seconds left in the first overtime as the Badgers edged the visiting Wolverines. Michigan can also vault the Gophers, now third in the Big Ten, with a win Saturday.

No. 7 Ohio State 5, Michigan St. 1: Freddy Gerard had a goal and two assists and Tommy Nappier stopped 21 shots for the host Buckeyes.
