Friday-next Sunday: Waves of our pioneer ancestors moved over the tall prairie grass of Minnesota in wagons with tall, white canvas tops, looking like ships on the sea and earning the moniker "prairie schooners." Eden Prairie celebrates this common heritage and kicks off the summer with three days of fun at its annual Schooner Days. There will be carnival rides and games, a softball tournament and a giant bingo tent. There will also be food, beer and live entertainment. (3-11 p.m. Fri.; 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Sat.; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. next Sun. Free admission. Round Lake Park, 7550 Constitution Av., Eden Prairie. www.eplions.org/events.) BRIAN LEEHAN
