Ruth Stafford Peale, 101, who with her husband, Norman Vincent Peale, founded the global inspirational organization Guideposts, died Wednesday at her home in Pawling, N.Y. The couple founded Guideposts in 1945, along with the magazine by that name, which says it has 8 million readers a year.
