A story on Page A7 Monday described this year's St. Paul Winter Carnival as the 127th annual event. To clarify, this year is the 127th anniversary of the first Winter Carnival in 1886. Since then, the city has hosted anywhere from 79 to 92 Winter Carnivals, some with limited sponsorship and scope. The carnivals have been held annually since 1946.
