The combination of a slow-moving front and an already saturated ground willlead to more flooding concerns over parts of the South Tuesday and Tuesdaynight.A band of heavy thunderstorms is expected to set up Tuesday from centralTexas to Alabama. Since the cold front will be nearly stationary, thethunderstorms will end up moving over the same areas through the day and intothe evening.

The ground is already saturated due to recent heavy rainfall, especiallyfrom northeastern Texas through western Mississippi, and this is the regionwhere there could be some minor to moderate flash flooding through Tuesdaynight.

Rainfall amounts in this region will average 1 to 2 inches, but a few spotscould end up with twice that much in less than 24 hours.
