In an effort to see things differently during regular spring training coverage, Carlos Gonzalez chose to use a plastic Fujifilm Instax Square SQ6 instant camera that produces 2.4 x 2.4" images. For one day during the Twins first home game in Fort Myers, he used that instant film camera to force himself to make images in a different way, constrained by the camera's limitations. The challenge then becomes having to be creative within those parameters. Gonzalez made 34 photos in total with the camera that day, in contrast to the 2,571 images he made on digital cameras on the same day covering the game.
Carlos Gonzalez is veteran of the Star Tribune photo staff. He covers a variety of assignments including news, features and sports.
