Stonehaven of Eagan

This 95-unit senior community just south of Yankee Doodle Road at 1000 Station Trail in Eagan, broke ground last month. The four-story, 130,000-square-foot project will have a variety of housing options, including 80 independent senior and assisted living units and 15 memory care apartments.

The project is being developed by Headwaters Development and daily operational and management services will be provided by Ebenezer Management Services. The building was designed by Kaas Wilson Architects and will be built by Engelsma Construction. It will have a private dining room with chef-prepared meals, heated underground parking, a pub and a beauty salon.

The Lakes at Stillwater

Plans are moving forward on this unusual senior housing collaborative in Stillwater.

A Minneapolis-based nonprofit called Intergenerational Living & Health Care Inc. is buying 57 acres overlooking the northern end of Long Lake near Rutherford Elementary School. ILHC focuses on interactive programming that brings children and seniors together; it will function as owner and operator, but will work with the Goodman Group, which will be the developer and manager.

The Goodman Group is a senior living and health care management company based in Chaska. The Northland Real Estate Group, a Twin Cities-based commercial real estate investment and development company, will serve as co-developer.

The $70 million mixed-unit, senior community will be built in three phases starting with a 139-unit independent, assisted living and memory care community. A second phase will have 30 independent living villas. The third phase will have 70 apartments for active seniors.
