Three people were shot Friday night in Minneapolis' Uptown neighborhood in what police described as a "chaotic scene."

No one has been arrested and police continue to investigate the shooting, which they believe happened outside, Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder said. Authorities believe two of the victims may have been innocent bystanders.

Police were called to the 2800 block of Hennepin Av. S. at 10:37 p.m. in response to the shooting, Elder said. The block has a YWCA branch, a Metro Transit bus station, a connection to the Midtown Greenway and several shops and restaurants.

When officers arrived, they saw a "chaotic scene outdoors," Elder said. They found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds at the site. A man who was also shot in the incident showed up to Hennepin County Medical Center later in the night.

All three victims have noncritical injuries, Elder said.
