WASHINGTON -- Sen. Al Franken says he's happy to welcome a new resident to Minnesota.

Last year, Washington Post reporter Chris Ingraham wrote an article claiming Red Lake County to be the "absolute worst place to live" in the United States. The distinction came from U.S. Department of Agriculture data and other figures.

After much pushback -- and a lot of pretty photos -- from Minnesotans, Ingraham agreed to go visit the place himself. He ended up loving it. And now, six months later, Ingraham is leaving Washington, D.C. to go live there.

Franken welcomed him back with a hand drawn map of the United States personalized to Ingraham in a video.

Happy bucolic trails to Ingraham and his family as they leave the Beltway and enjoy the beauties of the Midwest.
