Tullgren, Darlene Shelia age 70, of Plymouth, MN, passed away Thurs., Aug. 27, 2015, at Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at 11:00 A.M., at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 460 Lake St. S, Hutchinson, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at the Oakland Cemetery in Hutchinson. Darlene Tullgren was born July 2nd, 1945, in Hutchinson. She was the daughter of Arnold and Shirley Ulrich. She received her education at Lamson Country School, and then graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1963. On October 10, 1970, Darlene was united in marriage to Charles Tullgren at St. Anastasia Church in Hutchinson. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Heidi, and Chelcy. They lived and raised their family in Plymouth. Together they shared 43 years of marriage. Charles passed away in August of 2014. Darlene was a wonderful mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She also liked to work in the garden, mow the lawn, and plant flowers. She attended St. Bartholomew Church in Wayzata, MN. She was also employed in the Wayzata Public Schools, in the Food Service Department. Darlene was full of love and life and especially treasured the years she spent growing up in the country. She liked to laugh, and to tell funny, farm stories. Darlene went to be with her Savior, August 27th of 2015, and will be greatly missed by all. Darlene is survived by her daughters, Heidi Taylor and Chelcy Wangen; sisters, Diane Briese and Leann Kruempel; grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, and Mirrka Taylor, and Cierra, Cade, Kipp, and Nathan Wangen; other relatives and many friends. Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Shirley Ulrich; husband, Charles Tullgren. Memorials are preferred to Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.
