Higgins, Helen (nee Brendler) formerly of LaCrosse, WI, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away August 25, 2015. Helen was born January 30, 1922 in Milwaukee, WI to Isidor and Mathilda Brendler. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, James; parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by 2 daughters, Ann Higgins and Mary MacDonnell; a son, John Austin; 2 sons-in-law, Randall Russell Last and Brian MacDonnell; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grand-son; also nieces and nephews, Helen's greatest joy was the love and devotion of her family. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Women's Guild. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM Wednesday, September 2 with visitation 1 hour prior to the Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Chapel of Catholic Eldercare, Mpls. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Helen requested, in lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Anthony of Padua Chapel, Mpls or to charity of donor's choice.
