Charles M. Eldridge

Eldridge, Charles M. Age 86 of North Oaks. Devoted Family Man and Retired 3M Executive Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 31, 2015 due to complications from Parkinson's Disease. Survived by wife of 30 years, Laura (née Stallé); son, Alex of Los Angeles, CA; nephew, Bob (Peggy) Wetegrove; niece, Mary Teaver; and his extended Stallé family. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy Wetegrove. Charles was proud of having grown up in Mercedes, TX and has kept many friends from his youth. He received a BA and MBA from the University of Texas, was a lifelong Longhorns fan, and a proud Sigma Chi. He remained close throughout the years with many of his Sigma Chi brothers. Charles served in the U.S. Army at Fort Hood, TX and was honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant. He had a distinguished 37 year career at 3M, where he traveled the U.S. and the world. In addition to living in the Twin Cities, Charles lived in New York, Los Angeles, Stockholm, and Caracas, making lifelong friends in each location. After retirement, he continued to enjoy golf and friends at the White Bear Yacht Club. The joys of his life were his wife and son, and all the family activities shared with his own and extended families. Laura and Alex would like to thank the caregivers at Waverly Gardens and Visiting Angels for their support and devotion. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Mueller Memorial, 4738 Bald Eagle Ave., White Bear Lake. A Celebration of Charles's Life will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, August 5 at House of Hope Church, 747 Summit Ave., St. Paul. Memorials are preferred to the National Parkinson's Foundation.
