Beverly Peterson

Peterson, Beverly age 80, of Kenyon, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Cannon Falls Hospital, Cannon Falls, Minnesota. Beverly was born May 23, 1935 in Green Bay, Wisconsin the daughter of Louis and Lilian (Loutitt) Crabb. Beverly graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis in 1953 and then attended the University of Minnesota. In 1956 she was Minnesota's Grand Bethel Queen of Jobs Daughters. Beverly was united in marriage to Franklin D. Peterson on August 2, 1958 in Minneapolis. She worked at Glacier Park, as the Secretary of the Minneapolis Aquatennial and Norwest Bank. She also worked for Bud's Hardware Store, Foldcraft Company and was a legal secretary at Peterson Law Office in downtown Kenyon. Beverly served as past Girl Scout Leader and was also a member of the Eastern Star and presently a member of the Osman Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a longtime member at First Evangelical Lutheran Church. More importantly though, Beverly was a great wife, mother and grandmother. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed life and visiting with friends. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Franklin D. Peterson of Kenyon; three children, Heidi (and Harris) Haugen of Kenyon; Reverend Durk (and Susan) Peterson of Maple Grove; and Heather (and Joe) Tousignant of Kenyon. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home, Kenyon on Saturday, August 1, from 2 PM to 4 PM and also one hour prior to the service in the church. Funeral services will be held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kenyon on Sunday, August 2, at 2 PM with The Reverend Luther Mathsen officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Shriner's Hospital for Children; the Kenyon Sunset Home; First Evangelical Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
