Vizzier, Norval James Born December 2, 1921 in Gillett, Arkansas and passed away quietly in his home July 3, 2015. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife Charlotte in 2009, and his adored son Stephen in 1966. "Viz" served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII as a flight instructor at Ft. Snelling. This is when he met and married Charlotte Lee of Minneapolis. Following the war, Viz attended the University of Minnesota Dental School, and then practiced in the Medical Arts Building in Minneapolis for over forty years. He was close to his patients-some of them from four generations of family. Viz and his hunting buddies partnered in several business ventures, including Red Wing Shoe Stores in California. He was fond of hunting, fishing and traveling. Viz is survived by Lee Anne Gunderson (Paul) and their sons Mark, Matthew, and John (Julie) and Laura Kiser (Joe) and Mary Felechner (Bob) and their son Jack. Viz was independent; in the past several months he drove alone to Arkansas to visit his brothers, renewed his passport, and made his first margarita. Memorial Serivce 12:30 PM Friday, August 7 at Historic Fort Snelling Chapel, at the intersection of Bloomington Road and MN Hwy 55. The chapel is East of Historic Fort Snelling.
