Ersfeld, Lucille (Houle) age 95, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, entered eternal life on July 5, 2015 in Forest Lake. MN. The first daughter of Harry and Anna (Bernier) Houle. Lucille was married January 6, 1942 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Forest Lake, MN to Thomas J. Ersfeld. A lifelong member of St. Peter, she began playing the organ for Masses at St. Peter in 1934 at the request of the pastor Fr. Thomas Gibbons, until her retirement in 1980. She served the parish as accompanist for the choir and played for countless weddings and funerals during those years, while being blessed to raise a family of seven children. She expressed herself best while playing the piano and the organ. She is survived by her children, Thomas P. (Patricia), Annette Hegler, Mary (William) Keilty, Sister Jean Ersfeld, SSND, Kathleen (Allen) Robinson, Columbus, Ohio, Joseph (Dana), Rita (Robert) Norton, Falls Church, VA., 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J; grandson, Reeve Keilty; brothers, Merton and Dr. Rollin Houle; and sister, Marcelline Houle Koppy. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, July 10, 2015 at The Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Forest Lake, MN.
