Anderson, Raymond D. age 77 of Shorewood, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2015. Ray graduated from St. Louis Park High School in 1956 and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961. After being honorably discharged he went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Accounting. He was a practicing CPA for over 45 years, servicing his loyal clients with honesty and integrity without fail. Ray was a lifetime member of Paul Revere Lodge in St. Louis Park, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Zuhrah Temple. He was an active member of the Zuhrah Cycle Corps, and served as that unit's President in 1976. He was appointed to the Divan in 1989 and served as Potentate in 1999. Outside of family, Ray's two greatest loves were hockey and dogs, and he could always be counted on to have a pocket full of treats in any of his numerous Minnesota Wild shirts. Ray is survived by loving family members, including his wife of 56 years, Jean; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Brad Schmierer; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Kris Anderson; granddaughter, Laura Schmierer; sister, Gladys Olson and nephew, Doug Olson. Visitation will be held at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel on Monday, July 13 from 5:00-8:00 pm, with Masonic Service at 7:00; and a Memorial service will take place on Tuesday, July 14 at 11:00 am at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel.
