Thompson, Gerald Lyle age 51, of Apple Valley, passed away Tuesday, June 30. He was born November 14, 1963 in Minneapolis to Richard and Ruth (nee McArdell) Thompson. Gerald is survived by daughters, Jennelle (Giovanni) Velazquez and Megan Thompson; son, Jonathan Thompson; granddaughters, Lilianna and Nora; parents, Richard and Ruth Thompson; sisters, Connie Boerner and Barbara (Kevin) Rux; brother, Dennis Thompson; and brother-in-law, Greg Boland. He was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Boland. Gerald was a kind and compassionate man. He served his country in the United States Army and Air Force during multiple Tours of Duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Gerald will be forever loved and treasured.
