Klatt, William John "Bill" age 87, formerly of Richfield, MN, died Sunday, June 28, 2015. Born on June 13, 1928 to John and Rosella (Krenz) Klatt in Emerald, Wisconsin. Bill was a hard-working 37 year railroad man, once stopping a run-away train, and was kind and generous to family and friends. Proudly served in the U.S. Army after WWII running the hotel below Hitler's Eagle's Nest. Preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Kvaal Klatt; brothers, Joseph and Lawrence; and a sister, Lucille. Survived by two sisters, Mary Clark of Amery, Wisconsin and Bette Holten of Menomonie, Wisconsin; cousins, Louis Hastert and wife Kathleen, Franny Klatt and wife Susan, Loretta Graven; cousins and caretakers, David and Rita Wilson; special friends, Cyril and Gretchen Toay, Jeanette Benson; and many nieces and nephews. Service Tuesday, July 7, 11:00 AM at the Morris Nilsen Chapel, 6527 Portland Ave S., Richfield. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation beginning at 9:00 AM until time of service.
