Gergen, Alma "Dee" age 90, of Eden Prairie, formerly of Golden Valley, passed away as gracefully as she had lived. Preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, P. Michael Gergen; and sister, Pat Chrischilles. Dee's memory will forever live on in her daughters, Mary Pat (Tom) McGuire; Catherine Gergen Melanson; Laura (Chuck) Weum; daughter-in-law, Jo Nelson; grandchildren, Kelly (Rick), Joe, Amy (Sam), Melissa, Rebecca (Mikey), Rachel, Michelle, Megan (Guido), Erin (Terry), Emily; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Mary (Dick) Boisjolie; brother, Mark (Jill) Seeley, brother-in-law, Julian Chrischilles, nieces and nephews. Dee was a graduate of the College of St. Catherine, Class of 1946. She loved music, ice cream, fashion, dancing, the MN Vikings, movies, pontoon boat rides, and especially time with her family. She had a very strong faith and was wise, compassionate, and filled with strength. Her independence and loving sassiness were definitely passed on! A big thank you to Nurse Anu, Theo, Sabina, and the rest of the wonderful Lifesprk Aides at Summit Place Memory Care; and Nurse Lisa and the Team at Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital Hospice, for allowing her journey with Alzheimer's to be filled with dignity, grace, and so many smiles. Memorials are preferred to Laura Weum to be used for the Memory Care Music and Memory Ipod Program where Dee lived. Memorial Mass Monday, July 13th at 10:00 AM, with visitation one hour before at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 145 Jersey Ave., S., Golden Valley. Private Interment.
