Morgan, Janet Olive Louise (Pierce) 97, of Grand Marais and formerly Minneapolis, died Thursday, November 6, 2014. She was born to Roy Pierce and Mabel (Holleque) Pierce on June 6, 1917. Janet graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1934 where she was a Homecoming Princess. Then went to MacPhail School with a degree in Speech and Dramatic Arts. She married Frithjof (Fritz) Malcom Morgan June 7, 1940. They had three sons. Janet was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and Nathan Hale Grade School. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Dorothy. Survived by her three sons, Douglas Morgan of Marine-on-St Croix, Daniel (Cosette) Morgan of Hibbing, and Jeff (Mary McDonald) Morgan of Grand Marais She has 9 grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren. Interment Thursday, June 4, 11:00 am at Lakewood Cemetery (Columbarium). Celebration of life at Lake Harriet picnic area near the bandshell follows.
