Chandra, Subhash Died suddenly on April 24, 2015 at his home. Subhash was born in Mathuna, U.P., India on October 2, 1943. Subhash graduated from IIT Roorkee University and earned advanced degrees at the University of Minnesota, including an MA in Industrual Engineering and MBA. Since 1968 Subhash resided in Minneapolis, where he held a variety of quality assurance engineering positions. Subhash was employed in engineering positions at Thermo King, Honeywell, Control Data and Seagate Engineering. Subhash travelled widely to keep in touch with family and friends in India and the U.K. His nearly 20 year stint with Seagate took him to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, China and South Korea. Subhash took pride in hosting visiting engineers from various Asian countries. Subhash had keen insights on the evolving history, politics and economies of India, U.K. and America. Throughout his adult life Subhash only owned 3 vehicles: Chevy Nova, Chrysler and a Toyota. (If it runs ... keep it.) His long time friend Bill Seeley remembers Subhash calling from Shanghai to his local mechanic in 1995 to make sure that his Chrysler would be fit to drive when he returned from his trip. Subhash owned a Gateway Computer that he kept nursing back to health with many long 'customer support' teleconferences, arguing that his Gateway computer came with a 'lifetime' guarantee. (He and his computer outlived Gateway!). Finally his good friend Pawan tired of hearing him grousing about his computer and bought him a new one. Subhash had an encyclopedic knowledge of many historical, geographic, political and technological subjects, which he loved to share with even a willing audience of 1 or 2 people. Subhash, we will miss you dearly. Subhash is survived by his older sister Aruna Kulshreshtha, nieces Aki, Ashi, Dipti and Nupur and nephews Kapil and Neeraj. He was predeceased by his parents Sachchida Nand and Vidyawati Kulshreshtha of Meerut, India; sisters Sushma Bagai of Chicago and Shashi Nigam of Bhopal, India. A Hindu funeral service and cremation will be held this Friday, May 8, starting 12 noon at: Washburn-McReavy.com Hillside Chapel 612-781-1999 2610 - 19th Ave NE, Mpls 55418
