Huskey, Fred Richard of Victor, MT. Fred R. Huskey was born on a farm near Keyes, Oklahoma on August 8, 1921, one of 7 children. He survived the Dust Bowl Days then moved with his family to Colorado. In 1942 he entered the Army Air Corps and served in World War II. Near the end of the war he was hospitalized with malaria where he met his future wife, Phyllis Clitty, serving in the military as an Army Cadet Nurse. They were married January 12, 1946 and had two sons. In 1947 he began working for Bell Telephone in Minneapolis, Minne-sota, and continued until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1962; also, went through the Scottish Rights and became a Shriner. He was also a member of the the OES (Robbinsdale, MN Chapter and Naomi Chapter, Victor, MT), Stevensville United Methodist Church, V.F.W., and the American Legion. In 2011, Fred moved to Victor, Montana to spend his remaining years with his son and family. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis, in 2010. He is survived by two sons, Richard E. Huskey and Fred M. Huskey (wife Sonja); and one grandson, Nathaniel Huskey. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. noon at the Robbinsdale Chapel/ Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, 4239 West Broadway, Robbinsdale, MN. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Fort Snelling Veterans Cemetery. Robbinsdale Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
