Bonawitz, John H. Age 93, of Plymouth, formerly of Mankato. Passed away on April 23, 2015. Preceded in death by wife of 57 years, Louise; daughter-in-law, Noreen; brothers, Elbert and Gene. Survived by children, Karen (Ross) Langsjoen, Connie (Joe) Elfert, Janis Larson, Mike (Shirley) Bonawitz; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. John served in WWII on the U.S.S. New Mexico and the U.S.S. Columbia during his 6 years in the Navy. He worked for 35 years for Chicago-Northwestern Railroad before retiring. Visitation Tuesday from 10 am- 12 pm at Gearty-Delmore Park Chapel, 3960 Wooddale Ave S, St. Louis Park. Graveside service at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at 1 pm meeting in assembly # 2 at 12:45.
