Russ, Duane J. Age 86, of New Hope, formerly of Hibbing, MN, on 3/27/15. He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Jane (Russ) McOuat. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Jo (Vashro); many nieces and nephews. Duane was a proud Slovenian Hibbingite, US WWII Army Veteran and a 15+ year Red Owl assistant manager in Minneapolis and surrounding areas. He succumbed to a 10 month struggle with cancer and 3 years with heart ailments. Duane was a kind, loving, humorous and well loved person who will be deeply missed. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, 3/31/15 at Church of St. Raphael, 7301 Bass Lake Rd., New Hope. Visitation one hour prior. Interment Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing, MN.
