Peterson, Harlan P. In Loving Memory of Harlan Phillip Peterson (1922-2015) of Maple Grove, MN. Beloved husband, father, brother, grandpa, great grandpa, and uncle to dozens of nieces and nephews. Born in Owatonna, MN and raised in Ellendale, MN, on a small southern Minnesota farm, Harlan is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen Mae; his siblings, Elaine and Laverne; and his children, Lance (Zina), Gloria, Bonnie (Doug), Georgia (Bob), Patti (Dennis), Marilyn, and Debbie. Also his grandchildren, Tina, Mandy, Shannon, Josh, Jenny, Alison, Angie, Jason, Landon, Justin, Lori, and Kate; his great-grandchildren, Zach, Madelyn, Kaliyah, Gabriel, Maxx, Olivia, Cooper, Alexis, Bailey, Paige, Marissa, Hailee, Emma, Ava, Alexandra, Brendan, Jacob, and Nolan; and his dear friend, Marvin Anderson. Harlan served in the Navy during WWII. He was an entrepreneur, starting his own excavating business, along with farming, and later owning two driving ranges: the Monticello Driving Range and the Waterford Driving Range in Maple Grove, MN. He was also well known for founding the Silver Buckle Saddle Club in Plymouth 50 years ago, and for his years of raising and boarding Quarter horses. Visitation will be at the Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. North on Monday, March 30th from 5:00-8:00 p.m. The memorial service will take place at his beloved Oak Grove Baptist Church, 5920 Golden Valley Rd., Golden Valley, MN on Tuesday March 31st at 11:00 a.m. with visitation after 10 a.m. The family wishes to thank all who have touched Harlan's life.
