Fetterman-Johnson, Delores A. age 81, of Brooklyn Park, MN, died Tuesday, February 24 peacefully in her home in Brooklyn Park. Service will be 11 AM Saturday, Feb. 28, at Advent Lutheran Church, 9475 Jefferson Hwy, Maple Grove. Visitation at the CHURCH after 10 AM Saturday. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery in Harris, MN. Delores was born on March 13, 1933 in Vining, MN, the daughter of Alf and Cecelia Anderson. She graduated from Battle Lake High School in 1951. Delores moved to the cities and married Einar Fetterman in 1953. Upon Einar's graduation from seminary in 1955, they began a life of ministry in God's service throughout North Dakota, Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota. Their union and adventures included two daughters, many exchange students, foster children and many youth who commonly addressed Delores as "Mom Fetterman." Their family extended beyond expansive blood relatives to all who crossed their path and embraced the love they had to share throughout all their parishes. Einar died in 1990 and Delores began a new chapter when marrying Rudolph Johnson in 1994, expanding her children by three and grandchildren by six. Many work focuses were enjoyed by Delores within each community called home, all while commonly serving people. She worked with youth and elderly, office and church administration, retail and volunteerism. She enriched her days with music, theatre, Steven Ministry, artistic expressions, yet was best when she was "listening" and lovingly befriending all. Delores is survived by daughters, Naomi (David) Nelson and Miriam Cardone (Bruce Adams); stepdaughters, Judy (Paul) Saca, Janet Gabbert; stepson, Bruce (Clancy) Johnson; 6 grandchildren; sister, Clara (Chester) Shattuck; two brothers-in-law, Jim (Linda) Fetterman, David (Rebecca) Fetterman; sister-in-law, Marie Walker; and 34 nieces and nephews.
