Lloyd Kenneth Mahal

Mahal, Lloyd Kenneth Passed away on January 23, 2015 in Naples, FL at 93 years. He brought his passion, talent, hard work and concern for others to his family, friends, career and volunteer service. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Born April 6, 1921 in Sheldon, WI to Lois and George Mahal. Married to Agnes Ann Meyer on December 26, 1941 until her passing in March of 2010. Survived by sons Mark (Jan) of Bonita Springs, FL, and Kevin (Cathy) of Bloomington, MN; grandchildren: Lucas, Michael (Antonia), Cherice, and Patrick. Served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga in World War II. Professional architect registered in all 50 states and was President of Ellerbe Architects. Responsible for the design of the University of Notre Dame's Hesburgh Library with its 14 story mural depicting the "World of Life" & "Jesus the Great Teacher." Chairman of the Bloomington, MN Planning Commissions in late 50's. President of NV Seniors Coalition until 2009. Memorial gatherings will be held in Naples, FL Feb. 4th and this summer in Bloomington, MN. Memorials to donor's choice or favorite charity.
