Smith, Dorothy Anne (Quitney) 88, b. August 12, 1926 in Lowry, MN, passed away in Coon Rapids, MN on January 27, 2015. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, valued friend and congregant of Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran in Rice, MN, and later of Faith Lutheran in Coon Rapids, a wonderful cook and baker, and an enthusiastic crafter. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Sammartano, Patricia Anderson and Joan Johnson; grandchildren, Kristen (Sammartano) Weeks, Brian Anderson, Jennifer (Johnson) Anderson, Daniel Johnson, James Sammartano, Jack (Sammartano) Evans; and great-grandchildren, Lily Anderson and Elliot Weeks. Also surviving are three sisters and three brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Smith; parents, Roy and Ruth Quitney; and sons, Michael, David and Mark. Her family and friends will miss her kindness, warmth, quick laugh, and lively spirit. Details of memorial service to follow.
