Clausen, Lawrence "Babe" age 88 of Monticello, MN passed away surrounded by his loving family on Jan 24, 2015. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, Jan 29, 2015 at 2 PM at St. Benedict's Chapel, 1301 East 7th St., Monticello. Visitation 2 hours prior to service at the St. Benedict's Chapel. Private interment. Babe was born on May 9, 1926 in Taylors Falls, MN the son of Lawrence & Minnie (Anderson) Clausen. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He married Lucille Mares on May 6, 1950 at St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN. Babe owned & operated the Dairy Store in Monticello for over 30 years. He was one of the founding members of the Monticello Country Club in Monticello. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence & Minnie Clausen, wife, Lucille Clausen, daughter, Nancy Thomas, brother, Marvin Clausen & sister, Joyce Clausen. Survived by loving family, daughter, Cindy (Brad) Fyle of Monticello, MN; grandchildren, Sheri Fyle of Brainerd, MN & Daniel (Laura) Fyle of Peoria, IL; great-grandson, Grayson Fyle; sister, Joan (Gene) Anonsen of North Oaks, MN.
