Gomer, Lewis E. Age 80, was welcomed home by God on December 19, 2014. Lew was born on August 26, 1934, to August and Henrietta Gomer on a farm near Brooten, MN. Lew was an educator and superintendent of schools for 43 years in South Dakota after moving there with his wife of 57 years, Mary Gomer, and there they raised their 4 children. In 2010, Lew and Mary moved to Arbor Lakes Senior Living in Maple Grove, MN, where they have found a home and community of cherished friends. Lew will always be remembered for his love of sports. His sense of humor brightened the day of everyone he met. Mary would like to thank the staff of Arbor Lakes as well as Baywood Home Care and Interim Hospice Care staff, who were so wonderful in assisting Lew in his final days here with us. Lew is survived by his wife and educational ally, Mary; son Greg (Ann) Gomer of Mpls, MN, son Gary (Melissa) Gomer of Concord, OH, daughter Sandy (Tom) Reagan of Blackduck, MN, daughter Julie Gomer of Maple Grove, MN; 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
