Trouten, Donald James Trouten, the Rev. Dr. Donald James, 88, of Columbia, S.C. (formerly of Oakdale and Waconia, Minn.) died Dec. 2. He was a university professor and an ordained clergyman of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. From 1960 to 1977 he taught at St. Paul Bible College (now Crown College) serving as chairman of the Department of Christian Education, Academic Dean, Vice President, and Interim President. He was dean of Columbia International University from 1977 until retirement in 1995. He also taught at Nyack College (New York), Canadian Bible College (Regina) and Ebenezer Bible Institute (Philippines). He is survived by his four children: Darlene Morgan of Didsbury, Alberta; Donna Olson of Springdale, Ark.; Dr. Doug Trouten of Crystal, Minn.; and Dan Trouten, of Pickens, S.C. He was preceded in death by wives Grace in 1955, Elaine in 1984, and Margaret in 2011.
