Oliver, Murray C. Age 77. Born in Hamilton, Ontario and resided in Edina. We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Murray on Sunday, November 23rd, 2014. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Helen; son, Michael (Debbie); daughter, Susan Schepers (William); 5 grandchildren, Danielle, Michael, Timothy, Elizabeth and Emily. Murray was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Although being a proud Canadian and living in many wonderful cities throughout his 17 year NHL career, he chose Minnesota as his home where he raised his beautiful family. He will be remembered by all for his big heart, sense of humor and endless giving. He was a humble man that felt blessed to be a part of the the great NHL fraternity. Funeral services will be held at Mount Olivet Church, 5025 Knox Ave South, Minneapolis 55419 Service at 2pm, visitation 2 hours prior on Wednesday, December 3rd. Memorials preferred to MN NHL Alumni Association to support MN Warriors Hockey or charity of your choice.
