Leonard W. Goldman, M.D.

Goldman, Leonard W., M.D. Age 93 of Minnetonka passed away October 28, 2014. Preceded in death by first wife, Helma; parents, William and Rose; brothers, Jay, Hy, Max and Harry. A beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Len is survived by wife, Pearle; son, Bill (Nanette); daughter, Sue (Dave) Schneider; step-daughter, Rollie King; step-son, Marc (Tammy) Brickman; grandchildren, Ellen, Geri (Stacy), Heidi (David), Melissa (Eric), Nina (Kip); and 10 great-grandchildren. Leonard served as a medic in the infantry in WWII, and was captured and held in Germany as a POW. He was awarded the Silver Star Medal for valor in action as well as a Purple Heart. After graduating from the U of M Medical School, he practiced psychiatry at the St. Paul Ramsey and VA Hospitals, and the Mental Health Centers in New Ulm and Marshall. Len was also a cellist and avid fisherman, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Funeral service FRIDAY, 2:00PM, TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2324 Emerson Ave. S., Mpls.
