Myers, Gene L. of Mound, passed away peacefully October 22, surrounded by his family at the age of 83. Gene had recently struggled with Parkinson's disease. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Arlyss; parents, Fred and Hilda (Lubbert) Myers; twin sister, Jeanette and brother, Ivan. He is survived by sons, Mike (Nancy) and Tim (Kathy); grandchildren, Matt, Ben, Andy (Betsy) and Chris; brothers, Myron (Mary) and Luverne (LaVonne). Gene loved his family, friends, playing tennis and wintering in Palm Springs. His favorite season was the Fall. Special thanks to the staff at Presbyterian Homes of Spring Park, MN. Private family service, as per Gene's wishes, he never wanted anyone to fuss over him. Memorials in Gene's name may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church of Mound, if donor chooses.
