Crescentia 'Sally' Kranz Crescentia 'Sally' Kranz

Kranz, Crescentia "Sally" age 90, of St. Louis Park. Born July 4, 1924, ascended the golden staircase Oct. 20, 2014. Sally was a member of the National Honor Society at North High School. She attended the University of Minnesota and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Sally was a hostess at Hollywood Canteen during WWII. She lived in Anchorage Alaska six years when it was a territory and was present when it became a state in 1959. She acted in the Little Theater in Anchorage. In 1965, while in San Francisco, she was selected to work with Adlai Stevenson, Harlan Cleveland and foreign dignitaries when the United Nations celebrated it's 20th anniversary. She served as an administrative officer to a regional director at the General Services Administration in San Francisco. In retirement, Sally was active in volunteer work at St. Richard's Church, Fairview Hospital and Group Health Senior Plus. Sally was an engaged, adventurous and generous person who will not be forgotten. Preceded in death by sister, Margaret Ann Kranz; brother, Charles Kranz; and sister-in-law, Delores Kranz. She is survived by her niece, Lori Dick (Brett); and great-nieces, Emily and Madelyn Dick. Funeral service 1 PM Thursday, Oct. 23 with visitation beginning at 12:30 PM at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, W. 50th St & Vernon Ave at Hwy. 100. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Mpls.
