Swanson, Roland S. age 86, of Burnsville, passed away peacefully at his home on September 20, 2014. Roland served his country in US Army as a paratrooper during WWII. He retired from the 3M Corporation after 36 years, and was an avid golfer. He is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Lori Swanson; siblings, John (Eleanor), Lily (Walter) Wilebski and Doris Nelson. Roland is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Beatta; sons, Robert and James; grandchildren, Timothy and John; brothers, Ralph (Delores) and Roy (Ginger); brother-in-laws, John (Cathy) Olson and Roger Nelson; many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Service will be held 11:30 AM Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Prince of Peace Church's CHAPEL, 13901 Fairview Dr., Burnsville with a gathering of family and friends 1hr. prior to service at church.
