Ellis, LaVerne Veronica (Amberg) age 76 of Minnetonka, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2014 while in the loving care of her family. She is remem-bered for her kind and caring heart. The adored mother of Kevin (Lisa), Karen (Tim) Getty, Karla (Dave) McDonald, Kathy Hannan and Kris (Lew) Jurgens; the treasured grandmother to Kali (Nick), Amanda, Eric, Katie, Tera, Sam, Crista, Nicole, Pat, Ben and Jack; and special great-grandmother to Aiden, Landen, Gaven and Jaxen. Also mourning are her four siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Preceded in death by husband, Larry; parents, Frances and Louis Amberg and two brothers. The consummate caregiver, LaVerne thrived in her nursing career at Abbott Northwestern Hospital for 30 plus years caring for moms and their new newborn babies. Her family and friends will treasure the memories she created as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
