Blair Sturgis Piper

Piper, Blair Sturgis age 39, of Colfax, WI died suddenly on September 14, 2014, in St. Croix Falls, WI. He was preceded in death by his father, George Frank Piperl and his uncle, Blair Klein. He is survived by his mother, Kate K. "Minty" Piper of Wayzata and his brother, Andrew P. Piper, of Portland, OR, Andrew's wife Anna, and their children, Lucy and Charlie. He is also survived by George Piper of Mound, Nina Piper of St. John, US Virgin Islands, and John Piper of Arlington, VA, and their families, as well as his uncle, Allan Klein of St. Paul. Blair was born in Minneapolis on August 1, 1975. He attended Groves Academy and graduated from Breck School. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin and an M.S. degree from the University of Missouri. Blair loved the outdoors and spent many long and happy days at Big Rock Creek Farm in St. Croix Falls. He will be remembered as a loving son and brother. He was a kind and gentle person with unique interests and talents. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 26, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
