Russell Loren Chrysler

Chrysler, Russell Loren of Moscow, Idaho, died May 1, 2014, at the age of 105. He was born Oct. 21, 1908, at Duluth, Minnesota to Riley Loren and Marie Victoria Westerlund Chrysler. Russ grew up in Minneapolis, and on Sept. 6, 1941, he married Esther Bernice Larson . Russ attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., where he received his doctorate. He taught at Los Angeles City College and moved to Moscow, Idaho in 1959 when he accepted a position with the University of Idaho. He taught in the College of Business and served as dean for a time. He retired in 1974. Russell was preceded in death by his wife in 1975. Surviving are his children, Marlene, Paul and Stephen Chrysler; his grandchildren, Lisa Donahue, Denise Fherenkamp, Stephen, Mark and Allen Chrysler; great-grandchildren, Zacherie, Joshua, Erin, Mather D., Tom, Kelly, Jeanna, Jessica, Jake and Mathew F.; great-great-grandchildren Justin, Wyatt, Ryan, Derek, Romeo, Colt and Ryder; and, at last, a great-great-granddaughter on-the-way. He is also survived by cousins, Harold Turnquist, James Peterson and David Peterson all of St. Paul. Memorial service 10 AM Thursday, September 25th, Lakewood Cemetery Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis with visitation at 9 AM, Lakewood Chapel. Interment Lakewood Cemetery.
