Spaulding, Loren L. Age 95, of Arden Hills, died Aug. 20, 2014. Preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, six brothers, and Thelma, his wife of almost 66 years. Survived by sons, John of St. Paul, Paul (Renee) of Mpls., and Philip (Helen) of Andover; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law Kenneth Haugen of Ft. Dodge, IA; and several nieces and nephews.Loren was a Lutheran pastor in Epping, ND; Joice, IA; Grafton, ND; and Arlington, IA. He also ministered over a decade with Native Americans and migrant workers in ND and MN, as well as many years in part-time nursing home chaplaincy. His ministry and his example have touched many lives. Memorial service Sat., Sept. 6 at 4 pm, St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1901 Portland Ave., Mpls.; visitation 1 hour prior. Memorials preferred to Mount Carmel Ministries or St. Paul's.
