Schmidt, Captain Michael E., Sr. age 83 of Osceola, IA, formerly of Lakeville, MN passed away on August 20, 2014. Mike retired from the US Marine Corps after serving his country for 22 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Monica Schmidt; infant daughter, Linda; infant granddaughter, Deborah Martin; parents, Frank and Marguerite Schmidt, brother & sister-in-law, Paul (Frances) Schmidt. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Dorothy; children, Elizabeth (Danny) Martin, Mary Kubilus, Michael Schmidt Jr., Virginia (Steve) Hines, and Susan Schmidt; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Dennis (Vivian), Anthony, and William 'Bill' (Ona) Schmidt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church, 19795 Holyoke Ave., Lakeville, MN with visitation on Tuesday (8/26) from 4-8 pm at the White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Tr.
